Pork Chilli Soup

This was a new recipe to us but we could see that it had potential. When we start changing a recipe we start with something other people have written and then we change it and something different emerges, but its great seeing the start. Having said that we changed the recipe on this one straight away by uping the spices

Ingredients - SAerves 2

  • Oil
  • 250g pork mince
  • ½ onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 pepper(red & green)
  • 1 tin tomatoes
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp chilli powder
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • Cornflour to thicken


Heat the oil in a pan and add the spices to activate them. Add the chopped onion, pepper and garlic and cook until they are transparrent. Add the pork mince and stir thoughly to make sure the mince does not form a big clump. Add the tomatoes and tomato puree and bring to a simmering boil. Thicken if required with cornflour and simmer for another ½ hour. Alternatly put in Mr. D and let it simmer in there,

Garnish with spring onim and serve with garlic toast
